PodGo.app is operated by MB Skydis. This policy explains what the website and the official Android app collect when you create briefings, sign in, or subscribe.
What we collect
Account data: email address and a password stored by Firebase Authentication, or a Google sign-in. On Android, Google sign-in uses the Google account already on the phone. The app does not open Google's sign-in page inside the WebView.
Payment data: Stripe processes cards and invoices. We store Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan status, and receipt email. We do not see full card numbers.
Briefing data: topics you type or pick, generated scripts, audio files, favorites, and listening progress so you can replay a briefing.
Device and usage data: a visitor or device cookie for the free preview, IP address for rate limits, locale, and how many paid minutes you have used.
Microphone: optional. Voice input uses the on-device speech recognizer to fill the topic box. Audio is not uploaded unless you generate a briefing from that text.
How we use it
To generate and play your audio briefings, keep your library, apply free-preview and paid-minute limits, and send Stripe receipts.
To prevent abuse (rate limits and device cookies) and to fix outages using error logs.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your briefings to train foundation models for other companies.
Who we share it with
Firebase (Google) for hosting, authentication, and storage.
Stripe for checkout, subscriptions, and the billing portal.
OpenAI to generate briefing text and speech from the topic you submit.
These providers process data only to run PodGo.
The Android app
The Play Store app is a dedicated shell around https://podgo.app. It is not a general browser. It keeps audio playing when the screen is off and shows a playback notification while a briefing is playing.
The app does not add a separate analytics SDK. The same website privacy terms apply inside the app.
Retention and your choices
We keep account, subscription, and library data while you use PodGo, then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
You can sign out, cancel a subscription in Account, or email [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion of your account and stored briefings.
Children
PodGo is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
